This year’s laureates alongside Zohar included the writer Eli Amir, the singer-songwriter Oshi Masala, the filmmakers David Ofek and Uriya Hertz, and the visual artists Michal Shekhnai Yakobi and Ruth De Vries.
We wish Zohar Sharon many more years of meaningful and fruitful work. His original compositions, his courageous artistic practice, and his role as the founder and artistic director of the Revolution Orchestra constitute a remarkable life’s work whose impact resonates throughout Israeli society.
